The Client
eSimulation, a software and engineering firm, grew from a small group of senior executives in the midstream space, creating a digital solution for natural gas gathering and processing, before “digital transformation” became a buzzword.
The Challenge
While eSimulation had established a deep history in the industry with their existing client base, the branding and messaging had not been adequately modernized over the years, and management realized it no longer connected with the target market as it once did to effectively win new customers. The decision was made to enlist Advertas to reach a new generation of midstream operators with a fresh brand and message.
The Approach
As the outsourced marketing department of eSimulation, Advertas tackled the new marketing remit holistically, strategically planning out the rebrand, collateral development, website improvements, lead generation, and content marketing efforts in the broader objective context.
The task of rebranding came with the added challenge of accommodating color-blind individuals, particularly those of the most common types. Advertas accepted this challenge and created a brand with ease-of-use in mind, propelling eSimulation forward with a modern, bold color scheme, updated logo, and contemporary identity.
Armed with revitalized branding standards, Advertas generated new collateral, sales decks, and crafted new messaging that more precisely mapped the buying values of midstream operators with the client’s value proposition.

eSimulation experienced an increase in sales, enjoyed an increase in the perception of the company as a modern, relevant solution, and ultimately caught the attention of Control Soft, Inc., who acquired the company.
